Endike Academy celebrate an "amazing year"

Staff and pupils at Endike Academy are celebrating what has been a very successful year for the Hull primary school.

During a recent Ofsted inspection they were graded as ‘Good’ in all categories including Early years Provision, Achievement of pupils and the Quality of teaching.

Inspectors praised the behaviour of the children, stating: “Pupils across the academy have positive attitudes to their learning, are proud of their school and are keen to do well. “

The report, which was released earlier this month, also focused on the academy as promoting a very positive “We can do this ethos” of the leadership team and a strong team spirit.

Destiny, a Year 4 pupil, commented: “This is more than just a happy school, it is a fantastic school. We all learn and have fun at the same time, I love coming here.”

The academy, which joined the David Ross Education Trust, in November 2013 has also just achieved their best ever Key Stage 2 results.

Mrs Ranner, Deputy Headteacher, said: “This is a great time for our academy. Not only have we received one of the most improved Key Stage 2 results in our Trust, there have been improved outcomes across the school as a whole, including the Foundation Stage.”

Mrs Burrows, Headteacher, concluded: “This has been an amazing year for Endike and I am extremely proud of everyone for all their hard work and support. I would like to thank all the staff for their continued efforts in ensuring we successfully fulfill the needs of our school and the community.

“We look forward to sustaining these improvements and moving towards Outstanding.”

Here are what some of our school council members have to say about our academy:
